This is an open level class, which means it’s suitable for everyone, whether you’ve practised ballet before or would like to start now! Ballet Barre will help to improve strength, flexibility, posture, coordination and develops an increased sense of elegance and fluidity. Ballet Barre focuses on all areas of barre work including both slow and fast exercises, which both serve to strengthen muscles and get your brain working! These classes will also feature some floor barre, this will help your body placement and provides a foundation for when you’re at the barre.
What you need for this class: either a yoga mat or towel, you might also want a pillow to support your back! Later in the class you will need a chair or a hard surface to use as your barre.
Just like our regular classes in the Dancehouse, there are a limited number of spaces for the live sessions, so make sure to book as soon as possible!
You’ll receive the Zoom link to join the class 1 hour before via email, and you’ll be able to join the class up to 15 minutes early, ensuring a prompt start.
