We are looking for three Tutor Assistants to work with us on the 7 Schools 1 Town Project.

7 Schools 1 Town is a performance project with year 3 & 4 pupils from schools across Ipswich, creating dance films about what is it like to be living in Ipswich. Participants will work closely with Gecko & DanceEast artists to help create and perform within a site-specific film of their work. The project will culminate in an exciting mass site-specific dance performance with all children & teachers from the 7 schools involved.

Tutor assisting will involve supporting weekly rehearsals in a school within the Northgate Cluster of schools in Ipswich.

You must be available for one or two half-day rehearsals per week in school hours between January and March.

Your commitment as a Tutor Assistant

We’re looking for people who are creative and have a passion for and training in dance, who are interested in developing their skills in community and educational dance work.

To be part of this project you would need to commit to approximately 11 weeks of supporting dance sessions with your lead dance artist in your school.

The rate of pay is £6.70 per hour and mileage for travel over 10 miles will be reimbursed.
