Julie Cunningham has worked professionally as a dance artist for fifteen years performing both nationally and internationally. After training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London, Julie has worked with Ballett der Stadt Theater Koblenz, Germany, Michael Clark Company and spent many years in the USA working with ground-breaking choreographer Merce Cunningham (no relation).
DanceEast works with a range of artists and dance companies across the UK and internationally.
The Associate Artists’ scheme provides individually tailored packages to meet the needs of each artist which can include a bursary, studio space, use of and opportunities to present work in the Studio Theatre, to share research and receive feedback, an international residency and advice from the DanceEast team.
Artists will have a significant artistic presence at the DanceHouse, engaging with all departments including the Creative Programme to collaborate, devise and test exciting and innovative ideas.
